International Women's day

Please can you let all the children in your class know that it is international Women's Day on Tuesday 8th of March 2022. To celebrate this, we would like children to either compose a short video or a short piece of writing (they can get creative and present as a poem if they prefer) highlighting a female role model in their lives. (Should be an actual person not a fictitious character). It should include the positive qualities/strengths that their chosen woman possesses and what they admire most about them. Entries should be submitted by Tuesday 1st of March 2022 when I will come and collect from each class. Video entries can be submitted via twitter by posting the video and @ing me. '@MissOdumosu'. Encourage them to use the hasthtag #internationalwomensday There will be a prize given to the child/children (to present to their role model) who gives the most compelling entry!

Parent Workshop on Thrive (Social and Emotional Learning)

Mr Dean will be leading a Parent Workshop online to explain to our carers the Thrive Approach. The Thrive Approach teaches our children the social and emotional skills they need to be resilient and maintain their wellbeing. Please log on the meeting at 9.15 or 3.30 to listen and join in with the workshop. It has lots of benefits: it helps adults communicate with their children, children to control their emotions and empathise with others.
