Results and Performance

At Winston Way, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of our pupils and the excellent outcomes they achieve. Our commitment to high-quality teaching, a rich curriculum and strong partnerships with families enables children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We have high expectations for all pupils and celebrate their progress, effort and success at every stage of their learning journey.

Our strong results reflect the hard work and dedication of our pupils, staff and wider school community. As children progress through primary school, they take part in a number of statutory assessments which help to measure their attainment and development:

  • Reception: Good Level of Development (GLD)
  • Year 1: Phonics Screening Check
  • Year 4: Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)
  • Year 6: End of Key Stage 2 assessments, including externally marked tests in Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (SPaG), and Mathematics.
